General Questions

What buyers ask most about choosing and running a tracked remote control mower. If your question is not here, send it with a photo of the ground and we will answer within one business day.

A tracked mower with no seat, driven by a handheld transmitter instead of a steering wheel. The operator stays on level ground while the machine cuts banks, orchard rows and roadside verges. MAGNUS builds seven models with 500 mm to 1,000 mm cutting decks.

Start from two numbers: the narrowest gap you must pass, and the tallest vegetation you must cut. The MA-50P and MA-80P (two-blade, 500/800 mm) suit maintained grass and orchard rows. The MA-80, MA-100-1 and MA-100-2 (54–66 blade rotor, 800/1,000 mm) handle standing growth up to 3 m, including heathland shrubs and bramble. The SA models add an adaptive deck for uneven or terraced ground.

Yes — tracked chassis, low centre of gravity, and nobody riding on the incline. The working angle depends more on the surface than on the machine: wet clay and loose gravel lose grip long before the machine becomes unstable. We confirm the angle for your site before quoting.

Standard rotor models (MA-80, MA-100-1, MA-100-2) are rated for standing growth up to 300 cm, SA models 250 cm, and the two-blade P models 100–150 cm. Saplings up to about 30 mm are mulched by the rotor.

200 to 500 metres, line of sight, depending on model and site. Ridges, hedges and steel buildings reduce that range, so keep the operator high with a clear view of the machine.

The receiver fails safe: rotor drive disengages and the track brakes apply, so the machine stops where it is instead of continuing on the last command. Re-pairing takes a few seconds.

It will cut in light rain, but two things degrade: traction on slopes, and the finish, because wet clippings clump and block the discharge. On flat ground wait until surface water has gone; on slopes wait for the ground to dry. We do not recommend operating in heavy rain.

No. Keep children, pets and bystanders well clear of the working area — the rotor throws material and the machine moves without warning. Treat it like any powered cutting machine: one operator, a cleared area, and nobody inside the working radius.

Failsafe stop on signal loss, rotor drive that disengages and track brakes that apply automatically, a steel housing around the rotor, and a transmitter with a neck strap. Switching the transmitter off also stops the machine.

Yes. The smallest model measures 103×103×63 cm and the largest 170×118×75 cm, so all seven fit a standard pickup bed or a 1.8 m trailer. Dry mass is 126–178 kg, so two people load one with ramps.

The chassis and drive are built for years of commercial use; the wear items are blades, belts, filters and track lugs. Blade life is typically 50–100 hours depending on the ground — stony or gravelly ground shortens it. Most contractors keep a spare set and swap rather than sharpen on site.

One operator is enough. Allow half a day of practice before productive work; new operators reach consistent output in about a week. The skill is reading the ground and keeping the machine in view, not the transmitter itself. The manual ships with the machine and we can run a video walkthrough before delivery.

Ordering, Service & Spare Parts

Lead times, payment, shipping and after-sales for international orders. Prices are quoted per order, because freight and configuration change the landed cost.

A manufacturer. MAGNUS has produced garden machinery in Weifang, Shandong for more than ten years, which is why we can change colour, branding, documentation and engine specification rather than simply relabel a catalogue item.

One unit for evaluation and end users. OEM and dealer orders depend on the level of customisation — colour and logo are practical from small runs; a different engine or a new deck takes more.

Standard models typically leave the factory 15–25 days after order confirmation, then sea freight — about 25–35 days to Europe or the US West Coast. The exact date is confirmed with the quotation, and we do not promise dates we cannot hold.

Every unit is started, the rotor is run, the radio is paired and the deck is checked before crating. Before the container is sealed we send photographs and a live video inspection, so you see the actual machines rather than a stock photo.

Yes. Order a single unit, run it on your own ground, and scale from there. Dealers can order a demo unit at cost; rental fleets usually start with one machine and add after the first season.

50% T/T in advance with the balance before shipment. We also accept LC, D/P, PayPal and Western Union, including for smaller amounts.

By sea or rail — the machines are too heavy for economic air freight. Each unit ships in one export crate with the transmitter, tool kit, operator manual and CE declaration. FOB or CIF from Ningbo; tell us the destination port and we quote the freight.

Yes. Body colour, logo on the machine and the carton, documentation in your language, and engine options on request — backed by ten years of OEM production for other brands.

The range carries CE certification issued by ECM (Italy) under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and the declaration of conformity ships with every machine. Tell us the destination country and we confirm which documents that market requires.

Daily: clear the deck and check track tension. Every 50 hours: engine oil, air filter and grease for the rotor bearings. Every 100 hours: blade check and track wear. Every 200 hours: hydraulic oil and shaft bearings.

Blades, filters and belts are common across the range and can be ordered as a dealer kit. Send the model and serial number and we confirm the exact part list and the lead time for your region.

Warranty terms are set out in the sales contract and confirmed with the quotation, so they match the model and the market you sell into. Wear parts — blades, belts, filters and track lugs — are handled separately. Ask us for the current terms for your country.

We quote per order rather than publishing a list price: model, deck, engine, freight and duty all change the landed number. Send the model and the destination port and you get a landed cost, not a catalogue price.
